FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas' first starter has hit the portal. AllHogs has confirmed linebacker Chris "Pooh" Paul Jr.'s intention to enter the transfer portal according to someone close to Paul. He later announced his intentions on Twitter with a message for the fans.

"I want to thank Hog Nation for your unconditional support throughout my career here at the University of Arkansas," Paul said.

Paul appeared in 28 games across three seasons with the Razorbacks. He made nine starts this year. He was second on the team with 74 total tackles, behind only Jaheim Thomas's 90. The redshirt sophomore also picked up two sacks and a pass deflection this season. He enters the portal with 2 years of eligibility left.

This marks the second player to leave the team in a matter of hours. Sam Mbake is also no longer with the team and most likely will join Paul in the portal. Both men will have to wait until Dec. 4 when the transfer portal opens to officially enter.
