    Auburn baseball's RPI is going to be impressive this season

    Auburn wins the series opener over Lipscomb 7-3

    Auburn takes game one of the series over Lipscomb.

    Auburn wins game one of the series over Lipscomb by a score of 7-3.

    Pitching was all-around great, only allowing three runs on three solo home runs. The Auburn arms combined to strike out 14 Bison hitters. 

    Kason Howell had three doubles in this ball game, including his 200th career hit. Chris Stanfield had two hits in his first career start. 

    This was a good win over a great ball club. 

    Auburn will be back in action tomorrow for game two of the series at 4 pm ct. 

    Christian Herberholz will get the ball for the Tigers looking to take the series.

    Ninth Inning Auburn leads 7-2

    Tanner Bauman

    Allsup is back out hoping to shut the door. 

    A lead off home run makes this one a little closer. 

    Auburn still leads 7-3. 

    Allsup hits the next batter he faces and the Bison have a little rally going. 

    A nasty cutter from Allsup gets a swing and miss for the first out of the inning. 

    Allsup walks another but not before Butch Thompson talks the ear off the umpire. This crew has been rough to say the least this evening. 

    A double play will end the game!

    Auburn wins 7-3. 

    Eighth Inning Auburn leads 7-2

    Allsup is back out for the Tigers. 

    Four up four down all via strikeouts. 

    Interesting note: That is the 13th strikeout by Auburn pitching in this ball game. 

    A pop out to Green is the second out of the inning. 

    Allsup just misses low ball four. Lipscomb has a two out base runner. 

    A ground out to McMurray ends the top of the eighth. 

    We head to the bottom with Auburn leading 7-2. 

    Green is retired for the first out of the inning. 

    Howell grounds out to third for the second out of the inning.

    Foster rips a base hit to give Auburn a two out base runner.  

    Kirby grounds out and the will do it for the eighth.

    Seventh Inning Auburn leads 5-2

    Chase Allsup

    Chase Allsup is on to pitch for the Tigers. 

    Allsup strikes out the first hitter he sees. 

    Back to back strikeouts and there are two down in the seventh. 

    Strike three! Allsup strikes out the side. 

    Interesting note: Allsup threw a nasty split finger in that inning for a strikeout then got the third out of the inning on an elevated 97mph fastball. 

    Foster flies out to center for the first out of the inning. 

    Kirby rips a double and for the first time this season Kirby has a hit that was not a home run. 

    Irish gets his first hit of the ball game. 

    Men at the corners with one out for Ware. 

    Ware goes down on strikes. 

    Two down for Stanfield. 

    CHRIS STANFIELD! A two out double extends the Auburn lead to 7-2. 

    A new pitcher will be on to face McMurray.

    McMurray walks. 

    Two on with two out for LaRue. 

    A groundout to short will end the inning. 

    We head to the eighth with Auburn leading 7-2. 

    Sixth Inning Auburn leads 4-1

    A four seam fast ball blows away the Bisons hitter.

    Fifth Inning Auburn leads 4-1

    The pitch clock expires and thats ball four. Irish walks. That is the first time I have seen that this season. 

    Ware bounces into a double play and that will end the fifth inning. 

    We head to the sixth inning with Auburn leading 4-1. 

    A deep home run cuts the Auburn lead to 4-2. 

    A ground out to Ware ends the top of the sixth. 

    We head to the bottom with Auburn leading 4-2. 

    Stanfield gets a base hit and the Tigers have a leadoff base runner on board. 

    McMurray goes down on a questionable strike three call. 

    One on one out for LaRue. 

    Stanfield steals second and that is the first stolen base of his career. 

    A RBI single from LaRue scores Stanfield. 

    Auburn leads 5-2. 

    Great swing from LaRue there. 

    Green drops one in center field but LaRue is out at second. 

    The umpires will review to see if LaRue was safe or out. 

    After review LaRue was indeed out. 

    Howell lines out and that will end the sixth inning. 

    We head to the seventh with Auburn leading 5-2. 

    Fourth Inning 1-1

    Tanner Bauman and Nate LaRue

    Bauman is back out for his fourth inning of work.

    Bauman walks the first hitter he sees in the fourth. 

    A strikeout gets Auburn their first out of the inning. 

    A base hit puts runners at the corners with one out. 

    The bunt goes back to the pitcher and Bauman throws the runner out at the plate. 

    The umpires will review to see if the runner is out. 

    After review the runner is out.

    That is a huge out for the Tigers. 

    John Armstrong will come in to pitch for the Tigers and Bauman's day is done. Good outing from him in his first start. 

    Armstrong will come in with runners on first and second with two outs. 

    Armstrong gets the big strikeout. 

    We head to the bottom tied 1-1. 

    BRYSON WARE bye bye baseball!

    Auburn leads 2-1. 

    Stanfield grounds out to short for the first out of the inning. 

    McMurray walks. Man on with one out for LaRue. 

    LaRue goes down on strikes. 

    Two out one on for Green. 

    Green is hit by a pitch.

    Man on first and second for Howell.

    Bauman gets a strikeout for the first out of the inning. 

    Lipscomb hits one far and deep and we are tied at one a piece. 

    Bauman makes a great play to retire the speedy Ketchup. Two down in the inning. 

    A double gives Lipscomb a two out base runner. 

    Bauman gets a strikeout to end the top of the third. 

    We are tied 1-1 heading to the bottom of the third inning. 

    Howell's second double of the game gives Auburn a leadoff base runner. 

    Foster is down on strikes. 

    One out one on for Kirby. 

    Kirby grounds out to third base for the second out of the inning.

    Irish will try and score Howell for second. 

    Irish grounds into the shift and that will do it for the third inning. 

    We head to the fourth inning all tied at one.
