Auburn checks in at No. 13 in latest AP Poll

Following a week in which they went 1-1, the Tigers were ranked No. 13 in the latest AP Poll, dropping two spots from No. 11.

After going 1-1 over the past week, the Auburn Tigers dropped two spots in the latest AP Poll, going from No. 11 to No. 13.

Auburn fell 92-84 at the hands of the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers on the road at Thompson-Boling Arena on Wednesday night.

The Tigers shot 45.8% from the field, 40.9% from 3-point range and 75% from the free-throw line. Johni Broome led the team in points, rebounds and assists with 23, nine and five respectively.

The Volunteers shot 50.9% from the field, 52.9% from 3-point range and 77.1% from the free-throw line. Dalton Knecht led the team in scoring with 39 points, Jonas Aidoo led in rebounding with seven and Zakai Zeigler led in assists with nine.

Auburn bounced back on Saturday with a 78-63 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Auburn shot 50% from the field, 47.4% from 3-point range and 76.5% from the free-throw line. Broome led the team in points and rebounds with 17 and six respectively, Tre Donaldson led in assists with six.

Mississippi State shot 39.3% from the field, 35% from 3-point range and 60% from the free-throw line. Josh Hubbard led the team in scoring with 23 points, Cameron Matthews and Tolu Smith co-led in rebounds with 10, Hubbard and Matthews co-led in assists with three.

Auburn takes on the Missouri Tigers on the road tomorrow at 8 p.m. CT. The Tigers take on the Georgia Bulldogs at home on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. CT. Both games will be televised on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
