The Auburn Tigers bounced back Friday night winning their first game of the season. The SE Louisiana Lions were outmatched and the game felt like an exhibition throughout with Coach Bruce Pearl criticizing the effort. The Lions are picked to win their conference, but could not hang with the Tigers in Neville Arena.

Auburn played well offensively, but struggled at times on defense. Johni Broome led the way with 18 points. Aden Holloway led the team at +17 in 22 minutes played. Chad Baker-Mazara stood out, and KD Johnson had a good night. Notably, Holloway, Jones, Baker-Mazara, Williams, and Broome formed a closing lineup.
