Bracketology: Where does ESPN's latest projection place Auburn?

Where does Auburn stand in Joe Lunardi's latest bracketology?

The No. 13 Auburn Tigers saw a slight drop in their projected seeding by ESPN's Joe Lunardi.

The Tigers went 1-1 over the past week, falling 92-84 to the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers on the road on Wednesday night and beating the Mississippi State Bulldogs 78-63 at home on Saturday.

In Lunardi's previous projection, Auburn was listed as a No. 4 seed in the East Region and playing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

In Lunardi's latest projections, Auburn is listed as a No. 5 seed in the South Region playing in Spokane, Washington.

Auburn would play the No. 12 seed McNeese State Cowboys in its first game and take on the winner of No. 4 San Diego State and No. 13 Charleston in the second round.

If Auburn advanced past the first weekend, it would play its Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The SEC had seven teams included in these projections, making it second after the Big 12 which had nine. The highest-seeded SEC team is still the Tennessee Volunteers at a No. 2 seed. The lowest-seeded SEC team is the Mississippi State Bulldogs who are listed as a No. 9 seed.

Auburn returns to action tonight when it takes on the Missouri Tigers on the road at 8 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
