Jabari Smith is playing the best basketball of his young NBA career

Jabari Smith has been scoring from all over the court of late.

Jabari Smith has scored 20+ points in three straight games, including a career-high 30 points against the Indiana Pacers.

Smith's last three stat lines

3/9 vs Indiana Pacers 30pts 12reb 3ast 1blk 2stl

3/11 vs Chicago Bulls 20pts 10reb 2ast 2blk 1stl

3/13 vs Boston Celtics 24pts 11reb 3ast 1blk 1stl

Double-digit rebounds to go with the double-digit points means Smith has also recorded three straight double-doubles.

This brings his double-double total up to 11 on the season.

The issue Smith has been dealing with so far has been his three-pointers haven't been falling.

That trend has changed these last few games, as he is 10-16 (63%) from deep during this three-game span.

Something clicked for Smith in his game vs. the Pacers, and he has been on fire ever since. I was lucky enough to attend Smith's career-high 30-point game against the Pacers, and he looked really comfortable on the court.

Smith's three-game heater has his season averages up to 12.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Smith and the Rockets have 14 games left this season. They are, of course, not in playoff contention, as they are in the middle of a rebuild.

If Smith could continue to play the way he has been over the course of these last 14 games, he will finish as a top-five rookie in scoring and officially prove the haters wrong.
