SEC men's basketball power rankings: Crimson Tide still on top
Auburn loses two more SEC games, Alabama is served their first conference loss, and Texas A&M rises in the rankings. Where does Auburn fall among the rest of the conference?
1. Alabama Crimson Tide (23-4)
Alabama lost their first SEC game but there is still no argument that they are the best team in the SEC.
2. Tennessee Volunteers (20-7)
Tennessee is the Second highest ranking SEC team in the top 25 at number eleven.
3. Texas A&M Aggies (20-7)
Texas A&M snuck their way into the top 25 two weeks ago after beating Auburn and LSU.
4. Auburn Tigers (18-9)
It was a rough week for the Tigers after suffering another SEC loss to Vanderbilt.
5. Kentucky Wildcats (18-9)
Kentucky has only lost one game since January 14th. That one loss was to #3 Kansas.
6. Missouri Tigers (19-8)
Missouri spent a little bit of time in the top 25 but has since slipped. The Tigers are a team that could possibly make a run in the SEC tournament.
7. Arkansas Razorbacks (18-9)
Arkansas is also one of those teams who has played pretty well overall but they have struggled in SEC play with a 7-7 record.
8. Vanderbilt Commodores (15-12)
Vandy recently has a win over Auburn and Tennessee.
9. Florida Gators (14-13)
The Gators have played decent in SEC play with a 7-7 record.
10. Mississippi State Bulldogs (18-9)
The Bulldogs have a good record this season but they have not played well against other SEC schools. The Bulldogs in conference record is 6-8.
11. Georgia Bulldogs (16-11)
Georgia has a 6-8 record against other SEC teams.
12. South Carolina Gamecocks (10-17)
South Carolina has struggled in conference play. The Gamecocks have played fourteen in conference games and have only won three of those fourteen.
13 Ole Miss Rebels (10-17)
Ole Miss has an SEC record of 2-12.
14. LSU Tigers (12-15)
LSU has fifteen losses this season, thirteen of those fifteen losses come from SEC schools. The Tigers have only won one in conference game this year.
