This number has decreased during Auburn's two-game losing streak

This has caused the Auburn Tigers trouble.

Auburn went 0-2 this week, having to play away from Neville Arena twice in one week.

Some thought playing on the road would be a problem for the Auburn Tigers, but they played great, beating Arkansas and Vanderbilt on the road. The issues came against the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide who are much better teams than these other two. It has been a challenge for all ranked teams to play on the road this season, so at the end of the day, the losses won't hurt Auburn, but they need to start picking up some Quad 1 wins.

One stat that is interesting is taking a look at Auburn's assists per game. During Auburn's 5-0 start to SEC play, the Tigers were averaging 17.2 assists per game. This week, when Auburn went 0-2, they averaged 11.5 assists. The Tigers didn't seem to be running the offense quite like they were during the winning streak. Part of it was the defenders seeming to be making Auburn's guards start the offense further out, and it has been problematic.

Coach Bruce Pearl had this to say after Auburn's loss to Mississippi State, "I think they're competitive, I think they want to win," Pearl said about his team. "We didn't play as well. We didn't make as many shots; we didn't have as good of an assist-to-turnover ratio."

There is no reason the be concerned about the Auburn Tigers. They are a great team who struggled on the road against good basketball teams this week. Trust in Bruce Pearl, as he will figure it out, and this team will be great.
