What did Aden Holloway have to say before the SEC Tournament?

What did Auburn's freshman guard have to say prior to Auburn's first game of the SEC Tournament?

The No. 13 Auburn Tigers will take on the winner of the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Arkansas Razorbacks tomorrow afternoon.

What did Auburn guard Aden Holloway have to say before Auburn begins tournament play?

Holloway talked about his defensive development throughout the season.

"First, I would say it's just mental — taking a different approach to defense," Holloway said. "Just trying to have fun on defense. I feel like that's where I'm most productive, really — when I'm just having fun. I'm just trying to take that approach. On the court, on the ball, I've gotten a little better. Off the ball, it's just buying into BP's system and being lower to the ball and in gaps and stuff like that. I feel like I'm getting better game by game."

Holloway talked about playing alongside Tre Donaldson.

"It's just me and Tre's chemistry," Holloway said. "Like, that's my dog. When he goes in and is productive and does something good, I'm super-happy for him, and vice versa. I feel like that goes a long way with the roles that we have to play this season. Yeah, I would just say it's our bond and how we operate as brothers, really."

Donaldson talked about where he feels he has improved the most this season.

"I would say all other facets of the game that's not scoring," Holloway said. "Just trying to bring more stuff to the game than that. We've got Johni, an All-American, JayWill, All-SEC. You've got to find other ways to be productive on the court. I would say the biggest area this year has been defensively where I've grown the most."

Tipoff will happen after the Tennessee Volunteers play the winner of the LSU Tigers and Mississippi State Bulldogs. The television broadcast can be found on ESPN and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
