In this story:

The Auburn Tigers are stumbling into their final regular season matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Tigers (6-5, 3-5 SEC) are coming off of a 31-10 thrashing at the hands of New Mexico State. It was one of the most bewildering losses of recent memory for the Tigers, and certainly the most confusing and frustrating of the Hugh Freeze era thus far.

Now heading into the Iron Bowl, Auburn and Hugh Freeze have to find a way to refocus quickly. Alabama will prove to be the biggest challenge to Auburn on their schedule this season.

According to one computer model, that challenge will be too much for the Tigers.

College Football Nerds' computer model suggests that Auburn will be dominated on Saturday. The model predicts Hugh Freeze and the Tigers to lose 31.5-14.9. With how anemic Auburn's offense can be at times, the Tide may be able to shut it down early while building a lead of their own.

But who knows? This is the Iron Bowl after all. Sometimes analytics, computer models, and Vegas odds have to be thrown out of the window. The last three trips to Jordan-Hare Stadium have been rough for Nick Saban's squad: A four-overtime win over a bad Auburn team, a 48-45 loss to freshman-year Bo Nix, and a 26-14 drubbing at the hands of Stidham, Malzahn, and a salty defense.

Anything can happen in this game.
