Pair of Auburn football EDGE rushers make top 50 list
Auburn football needed to do some searching in the transfer portal to replenish the defensive line this offseason.
The Tigers went out and landed a handful of players, including a trio at the EDGE position - a position that Auburn needed help at badly.
Big Game Boomer listed a pair of Tigers on his list of the top 50 EDGE rushers in the country. App State transfer Jalen McLeod and Vanderbilt transfer Elijah McAllister came in at No. 16 and No. 26, respectively.
Former Auburn Tiger Richard Jubinor (Troy) made the list at No. 8 nationally.
It's worth noting that BGB still has Jalen McLeod listed at Appalachian State, despite him transferring to the Tigers at the beginning of May.
McLeod, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound OLB, played three seasons for the Mountaineers, collecting 75 tackles, 12.5 TFL and nine total sacks. In 2022 McLeod had 41 tackles to go along with 7.5 TFL and six sacks. He was an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention.
He had three tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles in App State's dramatic 17-14 win over No. 6 Texas A&M last season.
Over the course of his five-year career with the Commodores, McAllister recorded 65 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
