Auburn running back Damari Alston went down with an injury against the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday and did not return.

Coach Hugh Freeze told the media on Monday that Alston dislocated his shoulder and will be out "for a period of time."

This is a big blow for the Tigers as Alston has had a good year so far and is a crucial depth piece for this Auburn football team.

Not only is Alston a great football player he is also a leader on this team.

Even though Auburn will be without one of the vocal leaders on this team, he will still be around to cheer the team on and keep this team together.

Hopefully, Alston is able to get healthy soon and be back on the field at some point this season.

The five-foot-ten running back has rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown this season and has also caught five passes for 37 yards.

Jeremiah Cobb and Brian Battie will pick up the snaps left by Alston as the change of pace backs behind starter Jarquez Hunter.
