Five Auburn football players were named on Athlon Sports All-SEC teams

Are there any Auburn players not listed on Athlon Sports All-SEC preseason teams that should be?

In this story:

Athlon Sports made a list of their preseason All-SEC teams that had four teams, and five Auburn Tigers were listed.

Jarquez Hunter made the offensive second team but was referred to as "all-purpose" rather than a running back. Ray Davis of Kentucky was the running back listed on the offensive second team.

Justin Rodgers and D.J. James were a part of the defensive third team.

Brian Battie was on the special team's third team, which is surprising for the former All-American return man. I would have expected Battie to have been on the second or first team, as he is one of the best returners in college football.

Austin Keys was listed on the fourth defensive team and was the final Auburn player named.

I'm surprised that Hunter, James, and Battie are not ranked higher on this list, but they will be able to prove these rankings wrong on the field.

It's great to see these Auburn players getting some recognition, and it will be interesting to see what these lists look like after the season.
