It's never too early to make sure talented defenders are on campus. Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers welcomed in Anniston EDGE Hezekiah Harris to campus on an unofficial visit last week and the class of 2026 product liked what he saw on The Plains.

"It was great. Practice was pretty good too," Harris told Auburn Daily.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound in-state recruit spent time with the coaching staff and watched practice.

"I was with Coach (Ron) Roberts a lot. What stood out was being able to sit in Team meetings and position meetings," Harris said. "And be able to watch them practice."

He also spent time with defensive analyst Vontrell King-Williams.

Harris currently holds offers from Auburn, the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Penn State Nittany Lions, the Tennessee Vols, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and others.

Among those schools, Auburn is in good standing for Harris down the road.

"Auburn is definitely a Top 3 school for me right now."
