WATCH: Week 2 of High School football has multiple Auburn recruits show out
Last week the Auburn Daily staff showcased the stats and highlights for the 2024 and 2025 recruits that are committed to the Tigers. This week we have even more, and they are a good sign for what the Tigers can expect in years to come.
Auburn's first five-star Wide Receiver since 2002 Perry Thompson has been exceptional in his two games in his senior season. Playing both WR and Safety he has done it all. Against Baldwin County, he had an incredible hitstick tackle and managed to show off at WR as well.
2025 DL Malik Autry had a heck of a game. Leading Opelika to a victory over Jefferson Davis with five tackles for loss, two sacks along two QB pressures.
Jayden Lewis and J'Marion Burnette faced off against each other this past week. Burnette and the Andalusia Bulldogs steamrolled Anniston 39-0 and Burnette was a key piece of that. In this highlight, he punched through the offensive line for a nice goal-line touchdown.
Next week, I will be in attendance for the Athens vs Decatur, covering 2025 OL target Spencer Dowland. Dowland plus others will be highlighted in next weeks high school highlights.
