Auburn Briefing: The Tigers are heading 2,437 miles across the country for an SEC/Pac-12 showdown

The Auburn Tigers have one of their biggest games of the season coming up as they will soon head to California to take on the Cal Golden Bears.

This game is so important because it sets the tone for the rest of the season, and you really need this victory if you want to win seven or eight games.

The question is, will the 2,437-mile trip across the country affect the Auburn Tigers at all?

Coach Freeze has voiced his displeasure with the cross-country journey, which makes since as, historically, football teams struggle playing on the West Coast.

Auburn has not played well in California throughout the program's history, but this game is an opportunity to change that narrative.

The team understands the importance of this football game and will come out of the gate firing against the Cal Golden Bears, but the cross-country trip is not in Auburn's favor.
