The receiver depth chart is starting to take shape a week into fall camp

The wide receiver position is one of interest to the Auburn family as Coach Freeze brought in so many talented transfers.

We saw Nick Mardner, Jay Fair, and Omari Kelly take reps with Payton Thorne and the rest of the starting offense at Thursday's fall camp practice.

This means for the first time at fall camp, the starting receiver group changed as we saw Kelly step into Camden Brown's reps.

This is a situation to monitor since many Auburn fans expect a big sophomore season from Brown.

Transfers Jyaire Shorter, Caleb Burton, and Shane Hooks worked with Ashford and the twos at practice.

Shorter has been turning heads at fall camp thus far and is a guy I expect to crack the starting lineup sooner than later.

It will be interesting to see how this receiver room works out as the Auburn Tigers prepare to play UMass on September 2nd.
