The College Transfer Portal Twitter page believes an Auburn commitment is coming soon for Payton Thorne
The Twitter page "College Transfer Portal" tweeted that their sources are telling them former Michigan State quarterback Payton Thorne will be committing to Auburn, and an announcement should be coming soon.
If this is an accurate report, this is extremely exciting, as Thorne is a quarterback who can come in and help Auburn win an extra game or two in 2023.
Thorne threw for 2,679 yards in 2022 as well as 16 touchdowns. He had a career-high in touchdowns in 2021, when he tossed 27 for Michigan State.
We will be waiting on the news to break officially now as this Twitter page believes we will soon find out Auburn has landed its coveted transfer portal quarterback.
The Tigers have had nine players depart from the program within the last few weeks, including three backup linebackers:

Wide receiver Landen King
Offensive lineman Colby Smith
Defensive lineman Jeffrey M'ba
Defensive lineman Tobechi Okoli

Linebacker Kameron Brown

Linebacker Powell Gordon
