The Auburn Tigers are pretty banged up heading into the beginning of SEC play against Texas A&M
Coach Hugh Freeze briefed the media on Monday morning ahead of the beginning of SEC play for the Auburn Tigers as they face off against the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday morning.
As the attrition of the 2023 season begins to take its toll on the roster, the 3-0 Auburn Tigers are heading to College Station with several key players being forced to sidelines due to injury. Coach Freeze spoke on this candidly during his Monday morning press conference. Here are a few points that Coach Freeze made.
“That’s pretty challenging, we have to get the young guys ready, and they are going to get baptized into the SEC pretty good in front of the A&M crowd,” Freeze said.
Freeze addressed Keionte Scott’s injury saying that “unfortunately Keionte did not get a good report" and that "he’s going to have surgery today… we’ll be without him for a considerable time.”
Freeze spoke on Kam Stutts’ and Izavion Miller’s injuries they sustained against Samford stating that he "doesn’t really know where they stand right now.” Freeze mentioned Donovan Kaufman, saying that, “I think DK will be fine.”
Freeze continued. “boy we really need all these guys come Saturday, so hopefully we will have a good week of rehab and they’ll be ready to go."
"It’s concerning the list that they gave me this morning,' he admitted.
Be sure to tune in on Saturday morning at 11:00am CT to see if the rehab has been successful for the Auburn Tigers this week as they kickoff against Texas A&M to begin their SEC Conference play for the 2023 season.
