Auburn transfer Tar'varish Dawson has committed to Cincinnati

The Bearcats have gained the talents of former Auburn WR Tar'varish Dawson.

The 2021 recruiting class for Auburn has seen 11 of its 18 signees transfer from the University.

The most recent of these is WR Tar'Varish Dawson. Dawson, a smaller wideout, standing only 5'11 and 165 pounds. He could fly though, as he was a track star in high school. The Florida native rarely saw any action for the Tigers, as he only appeared in the first two games of the season this past year. He had two receptions for 30 yards and two rushing attempts for 10 yards. The quarterback for both passes was a 2021 transfer signee who is rumored to enter the transfer portal.

Dawson who has flirted with the portal in the past decided to officially enter on April 15th. Now, on April 21st the speedster has found his new home. The Cincinnati Bearcats offered him relatively quickly out of the portal, and Dawson obviously liked this and that offer has led to Dawson becoming a bearcat.

Dawson joins an offense that has lost a ton of wide receivers due to the transfer portal, including Nick Mardner who transferred into Auburn from Cincy. The Bearcats got a new signal caller over the winter in former Arizona State and Florida QB Emory Jones. With a good QB and a roster that has very little depth at the WR position, Dawson could be a name to watch next year when reading Lindsay Crosby's transfer tracker.
