One of Auburn's highest-ranked receiver commits in a long time is five-star Perry Thompson, who flipped his commitment from Alabama to the Tigers.

Thompson is ranked as the 31st best player in the 2024 class according to 247Sports composite rankings.

The six-foot-three wideout is off to a hot senior season and is putting up big numbers week after week.

During their most recent ball game, Foley quarterback Nelson Thompson found Perry for a 93-yard touchdown.

Thompson had a step on the corner, then made him miss after catching the football, taking it 93 yards to the crib.

This pass play was the longest in Foley High School football history.

Thompson's elite mix of size and speed will help him get on the field at Auburn the minute he walks on campus.

Receiver isn't a position that Auburn's had produced a lot of NFL talent at, but Thompson will likely change that narrative.

It's been a very long time since Auburn had a 1,000-yard receiver, but the next one could be walking on campus in the coming months.

Thompson will make history wearing orange and blue in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
