Texas and Oklahoma officially joining SEC in 2025 instead of 2024

Per Pete Thamel of ESPN, "The effort for Oklahoma and Texas to leave the Big 12 a year early and join the SEC in 2024 has stalled and at this point is unlikely to come to fruition."
Reason being the inability for both parties to come to terms over a TV contract, according to Thamel.
"Texas and Oklahoma will join the SEC in 2025, as parties couldn’t come to terms amid a complex negotiation between two schools (OU/Texas), two networks (ESPN/FOX) and the Big 12."
Both Texas and OU were slated to join the league in 2025, but rumors had spread that there were plans to try and get the teams into the SEC as early as 2024.
The Big 12 is adding four new teams to the conference this season, with Houston, UCF, BYU and Cincinnati joining the fray in the fall - the league just released a schedule for the new-look conference.
They will get two years of their current scheduling model before the Sooners and Longhorns make a dash for the Southeastern Conference.
