Auburn is among the top offers for talented 2025 QB

Deuce Knight, a four-star QB from Mississippi, has placed Auburn among his top offers.

Hugh Freeze, Philip Montgomery, and Kent Austin are all considered to be QB gurus and have all had success with many different QBs and play styles. An offer from this offensive staff and especially an offer from the staff as a quarterback is a special thing to hear.

Deuce Knight, who received an Auburn offer all the way back in January, has 23 other offers. The offers are from all across the country, the first offer Knight received was from his brother's alma mater, Indiana. SEC schools Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, and Mississippi State all offered the 2025 star in the late parts of 2022 and early this year. Washington and Notre Dame are also seen as top programs that Knight will visit and show interest in over the next few years.

Knight showed out in Mississippi last year and saw the opportunity to get more spotlight and face tougher competition, transferring to be the starting quarterback for Lipscomb Academy in Nashville. Knight took over for Auburn freshman Hank Brown. Knight underperformed in three games for Lipscomb and decided to return home to Lucedale, Mississippi. During his first game returning home, he had a 61 percent completion rate, 187 passing yards, and two rushing touchdowns on six carries.

Knight is expected to visit Auburn at some point this season. The Tigers are considered among the top five schools along with Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Washington.
