The Panini Senior Bowl released its annual “Top 300” list, showcasing the best professional prospects that are eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft before the 2026 college football season. This year’s iteration listed a quartet of Auburn Tigers on the preseason watchlist.

Quarterback Byrum Brown, running back Jeremiah Cobb, linebacker Xavier Atkins, and defensive lineman Da’Shawn Womack were the four Tigers highlighted by the executive director of the Senior Bowl, Drew Fabianich, and his staff. The selection of 300 of the best draft prospects comes after scouting over 2,000 prospects since February and spotlighting the best of the best.

“The Senior Bowl Top 300 represents more than just a preseason watch list; it reflects the highest standards in college football. Being named to the Top 300 is a significant honor and signals that a player is viewed among the nation’s premier NFL Draft prospects,” the Senior Bowl wrote in the reveal of the Top 300. “The Top 300 has consistently mirrored NFL Draft trends, with the strongest representation coming from the conferences that produce the highest number of draft picks each year.”

On top of releasing a preseason list for the top prospects in the sport, the Panini Senior Bowl is also widely known for the college football all-star game they hold in Mobile, Alabama, following the season. Previously known as the Reese’s Senior Bowl, the game invites players who no longer have any college eligibility and are looking to impress scouts for their future in the pros.

The four Tigers joined a list with the best draft-eligible players in the nation and one that is riddled with numerous former Auburn athletes, including Xavier Chaplin, Cam Coleman, and Kayin Lee.

“We’ve challenged our staff to identify the 300 best draft-eligible players in the country, and this list represents the prospects we believe have separated themselves to this point in the evaluation process,” Fabianich said in a press release obtained by the NFL.

“There is a tremendous amount of talent among this year’s class, and earning a spot in our Top 300 is a reflection of the work these players have put on tape. This season is critical as we continue to evaluate these players. Our scouts will be on the road every week, and we expect this list to evolve as the season unfolds.”

Atkins, Brown, Cobb, and Womack are all projected to play pivotal roles if the Tigers plan to be successful in 2026. All four are coming off of career years in 2025 and look to build off of that, improving their NFL Draft grades in the meantime.

The program has had at least one player drafted in 23 consecutive seasons, with five tigers being selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, including Keldric Faulk in the first round by the Tennessee Titans. Auburn looks to extend the streak to 24 with one of these four players, or even an unnamed one, to be drafted next April.
