4-star EDGE Jamonta Waller is scheduled to visit Auburn on Friday

Auburn football recruiting continues to bring in talented players.

Jamonta Waller, a four-star edge rusher from Mississippi, is a highly sought-after player, and Auburn is particularly interested in him. The feeling appears to be mutual, as Waller announced on Twitter that he will be visiting Auburn unofficially on Friday.

According to the 247Sports Composite ranking, Waller is the No. 289 overall player and the No. 23 edge, as well as the No. 8 player from Mississippi. He had an impressive junior campaign for Picayune Memorial High School, recording 106 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and 31 quarterback hurries.

Auburn is in need of multiple pass rushers in the 2024 cycle, and adding Waller would be a significant boost. However, the Tigers will need to make a strong impression during his visit as it is his first time at the university, and they have ground to make up on other schools that are pursuing him.

Overall, Waller is a talented prospect that could potentially be a valuable addition to Auburn's football program. His visit to the university is a positive sign for Auburn's recruitment efforts, and the team will need to put forth a strong effort to secure his commitment.
