We are now four games into the 2023 Auburn football season, and the biggest frustration for Auburn fans is how bad the offense has been.

Auburn starting quarterback Payton Thorne has thrown for 561 yards in four games, giving him an average of 140 yards a game through for the air. This puts Thorne dead last in the SEC.

Last season at Michigan State, Thorne had 900 passing yards at this point of the season, giving him an average of 225 yards a game. This year at Michigan State was also considered a down year for Throne.

The offensive struggles are not all Throne's fault, as really every part of the offense has struggled.

Hopefully, Coach Freeze will step in and help more on the play calling, and this will help Throne out in the passing game.

Thorne has been missing some open receivers, which is something many didn't expect from the veteran quarterback.

If the offensive struggles could figure themselves out just a little, but this defense is good enough for Auburn to succeed.

It will be a long season if the offense doesn't figure things out, but fans need to trust in Coach Freeze to fix these issues.
