Auburn football went through a lot of changes since Hugh Freeze was hired. Hiring Ron Roberts to lead the defense will help several Auburn defenders like Marcus Harris, Demaro Tolan, Austin Keys, Keionte Scott, Nehemiah Pritchett, Cam Riley, and more.

Auburn needed depth in the front seven and added several players to both the defensive line and at linebacker. All three levels of the defense should benefit from what Auburn will do on defense in 2023.
