Stud North Texas Mean Green EDGE declares for the portal

Freshman Cam Robertson could be the perfect depth at edge for Auburn.

Cam Robertson, A former three-star standing six foot four inches and weighing in at just over 230 pounds out of Plano, Texas has declared his intention to leave the North Texas Mean Green and enter the portal.

Robertson, who played in five games as a freshman, recorded 15 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in limited snaps. He has blazing speed and long arms that can terrorize offensive linemen from the Edge position.

He recorded a dozen sacks in his senior year of high school and also caught 7 passes as a tight end in very limited action. His athleticism has never been in question. He seems poised to make a larger leap into a power five school and a good landing spot might be Auburn. Auburn has definite needs in the Edge position.

Auburn football has seen three players officially depart this week, with Tar'Varish Dawson announcing intentions to transfer early Saturday morning.
