Auburn briefing: Tigers feeling good about Perry Thompson

In this story:
Auburn recruiting is in a dramatically different world than it was even 10 months ago.
The Tigers have done a complete 180 underneath Hugh Freeze and now find themselves landing or staying in the running for some big-time prospects.
Getting the commitment of a five-star player would speak volumes as to how things have changed. Getting two would be even more incredible.
Perry Thompson, who is currently committed to Alabama, has announced he will be attending Big Cat Weekend with Auburn football at the end of July. There have been rumors swirling about Thompson potentially flipping away from the Crimson Tide. He expects to make a decision before the start of his senior season.
Another five-star has managed to stay in the picture for Auburn. KJ Bolden, the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2024 class, will also attend Big Cat Weekend on July 29th, sources have confirmed to Auburn Daily.

Here's a breakdown of the position group.
