Baylor vs. Gonzaga Title Rematch Now Official

A rematch of the 2021 national title is happening.
On Tuesday, the Baylor Bears and the Gonzaga Bulldogs reportedly finalized a deal to play a neutral-site game as part of the non-conference schedule for 2022-23.
The game will be played on December 2 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The game is making up for a canceled matchup between the two programs originally scheduled for Dec. 5, 2020.
Regardless, the game features of matchup of two top-10 programs, with the potential of both teams being ranked in the top five by the time December rolls around.
Baylor will be looking for another win over Gonzaga after ending the Bulldogs' hopes of an undefeated season with a dominant 86-70 win in the 2020 championship game.
Former Bear and current Utah Jazz guard Jared Butler led the team in the championship win with 22 points, seven assists, and three rebounds. He was the focal point of a talented Baylor backcourt that also included Davion Mitchell, who would go on to be the No. 9 overall selection in the NBA Draft following the title game.
Adam Flagler, who had 13 points in 22 minutes off the bench in the title game, announced Wednesday that he has withdrawn his name from the 2022 NBA Draft and will return to Waco for his senior season.
The Bears will have a chip on their shoulder heading into the potential non-conference meeting, while Gonzaga and legendary coach Mark Few will be seeking some sweet revenge.
