Boston College lost a member of their bench on Monday, as Forward/Center Johncarlos Reyes entered the transfer portal according to reports online.

Reyes, who has one year of eligibility only averaged 6 minutes last year for the Eagles off the bench, bringing in 1.9 ppg and 1 rebound. He most likely will finish his BC career with 2.1 ppg and 3.4 rebounds.

What would have been his role had he stayed? He probably would have been buried on the bench this year behind Nik Popovic and the Steffon Mitchell, but BC really doesn't have any other bigs on their bench other than Luka Kraljevic. You have to imagine that with this added roster slot, BC is going to be scouring the transfer wires to see if they can bring another utility transfer.

Of course this doesn't mean that Reyes is definitely leaving, it just means that he has his name in the transfer portal, so there is still a possibility that he returns. BC Maven will follow up with any breaking news.
