After a dominant 66-10 win over the Fordham Rams to open the season, the Boston College Eagles football team hits the road this weekend for their first big test of the season against the Michigan State Spartans.
Both teams earned wins in their season opener. Michigan State beat the Western Michigan Broncos 23-6 on Friday night at home.
The game is a part of a home-and-home series that was scheduled in 2017.
The first matchup in the series was played last year in Chestnut Hill. Boston College beat Michigan State 23-19 after a 42-yard touchdown pass caught by wide receiver Lewis Bond with 1:28 to go in regulation and an interception by defensive back Max Tucker with 42 seconds to go.
This will be the eighth meeting between the two teams. Boston College leads the all-time series 5-1-1.
The sole contest won by the Spartans was on Sept. 30, 1995, where they beat the Eagles 25-21 in East Lansing.
