Three BYU Players Invited to the 2024 NFL Combine

On Tuesday, the NFL released the names of 321 players that are invited to the 2024 NFL Combine. Three former Cougars were invited to the combine. Offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia received an invite - Suamataia has been projected as high as a late first-round pick. It was no surprise that Suamataia was on the list.

BYU quarterback Kedon Slovis was invited after an impressive week at the Shrine Bowl. Slovis was 1 of just 14 quarterbacks invited to the NFL Combine. Here is the full list of quarterbacks that were invited:

  • Jayden Daniels, LSU
  • Sam Hartman, Notre Dame
  • Devin Leary, Kentucky
  • Drake Maye, North Carolina
  • J.J. McCarthy, Michigan
  • Joe Milton III, Tennessee
  • Bo Nix, Oregon
  • Michael Penix Jr., Washington
  • Michael Pratt, Tulane
  • Spencer Rattler, South Carolina
  • Austin Reed, Western Kentucky

Kedon Slovis Texas Tech

In eight games last year, Slovis threw for over 1,700 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions at BYU. Slovis started the first eight games under center until he suffered an injury against Texas and did not play the rest of the season. If Slovis is drafted, he would be the third consecutive quarterback from BYU drafted.

BYU punter Ryan Rehkow was the third and final BYU player that was invited to the 2024 NFL Combine. Rehkow was one of only two punters invited to the NFL combine. Iowa's Tory Taylor was the other punter invited.
