BYU's Season Finale Against Oklahoma State Draws Season-High Ratings

BYU's 2023 season is in the books. On Wednesday, the TV ratings for the final week of the regular season were released. BYU's season finale against Oklahoma State drew the highest tv ratings of any BYU game this season. Below are the tv ratings for BYU's games this season ranked from highest to lowest.

1. Oklahoma State

Viewers: 2.39 million | Network: ABC

BYU had a chance to spoil Oklahoma State's championship hopes last weekend. The Cougars got off to a hot start, taking an 18-point lead into halftime before the Cowboys stormed back to force overtime. Between the stakes of this game, the network, and entertaining nature the game itself, BYU-Oklahoma State attracted the most viewers of the season.

2. Texas

Viewers: 2.39 million | Network: ABC

BYU-Texas drew over two million average viewers. The game probably would have been the most viewed of the season if it was a little more competitive.

3. Oklahoma

Viewers: 2.17 million | Network: ESPN

BYU-Oklahoma was one of the most entertaining games of the season and it drew high ratings as a result.

4. West Virginia

Viewers: 1.26 million | Network: FOX

BYU-West Virginia attracted over 1.25 million viewers on FOX. This is another game that would have drawn much better ratings if the game was more competitive.

5. Cincinnati

Viewers: 1.23 million | Network: ESPN

1.23 million viewers watched BYU take down Cincinnati on a Friday night. The was BYU's most viewed win of the season.

6. Arkansas

Viewers: 1.08 million | Network: ESPN2

BYU-Arkansas drew over one million viewers, a very respectable number for an ESPN2 game.

7. Kansas

Viewers: 1.03 million | Network: ESPN

BYU-Kansas averaged over one million viewers on the opening week of conference play.

8. TCU

Viewers: 1.02 million | Network: ESPN

BYU-TCU averaged over one million viewers.

9. Iowa State

Viewers: 943k | Network: ESPN

Fortunately for BYU, BYU-Iowa State drew one of the smallest audiences of the season.

10. Texas Tech

Viewers: 545k | Network: FS1

Unsurprisingly, BYU-Texas Tech only drew 545k viewers since it was broadcast on FS1.

11. Sam Houston State

Viewers: 444k | Network: FS1

BYU-Sam Houston State drew a respectable 444k in the late-night window on FS1.

12. Southern Utah

Viewers: N/A | Network: ESPN+

Viewership for BYU-SUU was not published. It's safe to assume this was the least viewed game of the season.
