Get to Know Nasty Nati's TBT Regional Championship Opponent: The Program For Autism

The UC alumni team needs four more wins to capture $1 million.

CINCINNATI — Nasty Nati is looking to win the Xavier Regional tonight as The Basketball Tournament continues. The team is four wins away from taking home $1 million as The Program For Autism awaits next.

TPFA is a challenging opponent as they are second in the 2023 TBT in points per game (88.5) and 20th in PPG allowed (75).

They made the 2022 championship game and finished as runner-ups in the event. TPFA has now won nine games in TBT since entering the competition in 2021.

TPFA has a close tie to autism, as three players on the roster (Delroy James, J’Covan Brown, Isaiah Swann) are parents to children who have been diagnosed with autism. They've partnered with some serious firepower on the investing side. The Program NYC joined with the team this summer. The Program is a new basketball facility going up in New York City with investors like Carmelo Anthony and J.J. Redick involved.

How they deal with the duo of Jarron Cumberland and Jacob Evans will decide this regional championship bout. The former leads the entire 2023 TBT in scoring average (25.5 PPG), while Evans is fourth (23 PPG).

The duo is also top five in average minutes per game. It's no secret how Nasty Nati has started 2-0 in TBT this year. Catch the game at Cintas Center tipping off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
