UC Lands Commitment From Three-Star Running Back Jakorion Caffey
CINCINNATI — UC football earned it's first 2024 running back commit in three-star Jakorion Caffey out of Avon (Ohio).
According to 247Sports, Caffey is the 1,158th-ranked recruit nationally and the 89th-ranked running back. He was ranked 70th when Cincinnati offered in April. He is the 15th UC commit in this class.
He held 14 offers from schools like Kent State and Maryland.
Caffey is MAC Truck in the hole with some relentless leg power. Hit the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder high and you got problems. He does a great job of bouncing off of arm tackles.
His right-to-left cuts are deadly and Caffey has some nice ability as a pass catcher. He displays solid hands (a few one-handed gems on tape) and can make catches in crowded situations whether it's a downfield route or a designed screen.
Cincinnati is in the top-40 classes on 247Sports as of this writing.
