Recruiting Roundup: Bearcats Offer Four-Star 2025 Linebacker Kelvin Riggins

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Time for another Recruiting Roundup as we move through the midway point of Spring Football.
It starts with an offer to four-star 2025 linebacker Kelvion Riggins out of South Oak Cliff (Texas).
After an amazing visit with @CoachSattUC, @CortBraswell & @GoBearcatsFB, I am blessed to say I receive a scholarship offer‼️#Bearcats @SOCGoldenBearFB @coach_traylor @TrueBuzzFB @Coach_Cass @joe_discher pic.twitter.com/1c2Snp7fly
— 👑KELVION RIGGINS (@KelvionR) April 2, 2023
According to Rivals, Riggins is the 162nd-ranked player in his class and the fourth-best inside linebacker.
He has 29 offers from schools like Arkansas and Baylor.
It's not hard to see why Riggins has nearly 30 offers as a sophomore. He can do it all while bringing the pain at linebacker. His coverage skills are impressive, especially in zone looks.
He's a punishing hitter on defense and special teams that can make plays from the middle spot, outside, and lined up outside as an edge rusher.
A brick house at 6-foot, 200 pounds, Riggins should only refine his game more over the next two seasons as he trends towards top-150 status.
Next is an offer to Division II California University in Pennsylvania wide receiver JaQuae Jackson.
Blessed to receive an offer from Cincinnati! pic.twitter.com/mC3Kgm2Y18

The 2022 DII All-American is using his final year of eligibility at the FBS level and has over 15 offers from schools like Colorado and Georgia Tech.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound receiver hauled in 135 passes for 1,922 yards and 21 touchdowns in the past two years for the Vulcans.
He would be a boost for a thin Bearcats wide receiver room right now. A big play threat, Jackson averaged over 14 yards per catch over the past two seasons. He was an all-state cornerback in high school, so there is still more room to grow as a wideout.
Following Jackson is an offer to 2024 four-star offensive lineman Ziron Brown out of Bay (Mississippi).
#AGTG after a great conversation with @CoachCardwell_ !! I’m excited to announce that I have received my 10th D1 Offer from @GoBearcatsFB 🔴⚪️⚫️! Thank you so much! Big thanks to @BayHigh_FB 💛! pic.twitter.com/UiBTxS4dm8
— Ziron “DANK” Brown (@brownziron_) March 28, 2023
According to 247Sports, Brown is the 312th-ranked player nationally and the 19th-best interior offensive lineman.
One guy Brown might block for is three-star running back Kewan Lacy out of Lancaster (Texas).
Cincinnati recently offered the junior.
Blessings to receive an offer from The university of cincinnati ❤️🖤@Coach_Cass @DeRailSims @GoBEARCATS @LancasterFBwebo @TheCoachPaul7 @coach_fears @KWhitley20 @CoachIngram1834 @JScruggs247 @TFloss32 pic.twitter.com/JSxiYxgUEU

According to 247Sports, Lacy is the 549th-ranked player nationally and the 47th-best running back.
He holds 34 offers from schools like Arizona State and Alabama.
The 6-foot, 205-pound bruiser broke a tackle on nearly every touch I watched. Lacy is pretty versatile, showing nice ability catching passes out of the backfield, or splitting out wide.
Lacy's sub-4.5-second speed is palpable on film once he hits that second level. Getting there wasn't too hard for a player with relentless legs. Good luck trying to tackle Lacy above the knees.
We round things out with an offer to three-star 2024 safety Jathan Hatch out of Biggersville (Mississippi).
#AGTG After another talk with @CoachB_BROWN i am Blessed to receive a offer from the University of Cincinnati🔴⚫️ pic.twitter.com/5KPfgMOQsc
— Jathan “Jaymo” Hatch🦊 (@jathan_hatch) March 30, 2023
According to 247Sports, Hatch is the 93rd-ranked safety nationally and is the 26th-best player in Mississippi.
He holds three other offers from Ole Miss, Tulane, and Louisville.
Hatch is a running back on the other side of the ball and it shows in his defense. He does a nice job of tracking poor passes in the air and can return any pick to the house.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound player has nice ball skills, but it was hard to tell how sound a tackler he is from the available clips.
