Recruiting Roundup: UC Among Three-Star Defensive Lineman Dimitry Nicolas's Top Schools; Offer Goes Out to Three-Star Quarterback Aaron Philo

In this story:
CINCINNATI — The Bearcats are among the top-13 schools for three-star 2024 defensive lineman Dimitry Nicolas out of Monsignor Pace (Florida).
Nicolas essentially sliced out Jackson State and Syracuse from his overall offer list.

According to 247Sports, Nicholas is the 422nd-ranked player nationally and the 41st-ranked defensive lineman.
Florida (61.8%) and Miami (19.8%) are the only schools On3 has slated with over a 2% chance to sign him.
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound force is a bull-rushing bully.
He is a fantastic bull rusher with little leverage loss on the interior. His wrap-and-tackle skills present a nice ceiling on passing downs as well.
Nicholas would be a nice addition as a powerful nose tackle in Bryan Brown's hybrid defense.
Next, Cincinnati sent an offer out to 2024 three-star quarterback Aaron Philo from Prince Avenue Christian School (Georgia).

— Aaron Philo † (@PhiloAaron) April 11, 2023
According to 247Sports, Philo is the 1,030th-ranked 2024 recruit and 63rd-ranked quarterback.
He holds 14 offers and just de-committed from Minnesota after committing last month.
Philo lit up the state of Georgia last season with a 69% completion rate for 4,598 yards, 54 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. He toted the ball 68 times for 361 yards (5.3 YPC) and 8 more TDs.
The 6-foot-2 passer operates out of the shotgun primarily and showed some nice quick twitch ability on timing throws and off-schedule plays. The junior can make plenty of the throws needed at a Power-Five level.
The range of arm angles and ability to make plays in traffic stood out the most from Philo.
