Mike Matthews has become one of the names to know in the 2024 recruiting class. The wideout is a consensus top 10 recruit, regardless of position, amongst the most well-known college football recruiting databases in the country. Any school would be more than lucky to have Matthews but only 12 have the luxury of continuing to be in the running for his services.

Clemson is among that list and could be near the top of it but that doesn't mean the competition for him down the stretch won't be fierce. The rest of the list is comprised mostly of the big names, with a couple of surprises in there. Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, USC, Auburn, Tennessee, and Texas A&M won't shock anybody. Arkansas and Colorado may raise some eyebrows but Deion Sanders has worked hard to get his school on many top prospects' final lists and Arkansas did just convince former 5-star Jadon Haselwood to transfer there last season. There's no team you can really count out of this one.

The two-way athlete hails from Parkview High School IN Lilburn, Georgia which boasts a number of alumni that reached the professional ranks in their respective sports, including former NFL lineman Matt and Jon Stinchcomb and current Braves first baseman Matt Olson.

Matthews is coming off a junior campaign that resulted in some impressive numbers with 48 catches for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns to go along with 2 interceptions and 23 tackles defensively as well. Many eyes will continue to follow this one as the playmaker gets closer to making a final decision.
