Clemson's Joseph Ngata came into this weekend in Indianapolis as one of the players that needed a big performance. Ngata is projected by most services to be a late round pick. His size - 6-foot-3 - excites a lot of scouts, but a lack of ability to consistently get open has been concerning.

Prior to his workouts at the NFL Combine, Ngata caught up with the press. He credited Clemson with preparing him and his teammates for this experience.

"[The Clemson Football staff] prepare you for a lot of this stuff. They prepare you for every aspect of your life. Whether that's business or NFL Draft. We do a lot of these draft preps from freshman year all the way to senior year." said Ngata.

"I felt like when I came here, it's nothing that surprised me or nothing that jumped out at me, just because I've been preparing for this moment for a longtime."

Ngata's testing was solid. His 4.54u 40-yard dash was middle of the pack for the receivers, but was strong for his size. His 10'4" broad jump showed some explosiveness from the big-bodied receiver.

It's going to be interesting to see where Ngata lands. He's got NFL size, but he's going to need a team to take a chance on him. 4th - 6th round seems to be a realistic goal.
