N.C. State head coach Dave Doeren previews Clemson

In this story:
Coming off their second overtime loss of the year - and their third overall - Clemson faces a tall task as they head to Carter-Finley Stadium to take on the 4-3 N.C. State Wolfpack.
Ahead of the game in Raliegh, N.C. State head coach Dave Doeren previewed Clemson in his weekly press conference.
"Obviously, when you play Clemson, they always have a talented football team and this one's no different, very well coached," began Doeren. "And they have tremendous players, you know, they're up-tempo on offense, they've always been no-huddle, but you can see you know, with what they're doing now, fewer formations, a lot faster on the football and going up-tempo with Garrett Riley."
Clemson has been going faster on offense, but it hasn't necessarily resulted in more points. The Tigers rank 49th in scoring offense, averaging 30.4 points per game.
"They have incredible running backs, you know, obviously, we know a lot about Will [Shipley] and think the world of him. A tough kid and he's done a great job for them. The receiving corps; they've had some guys banged up, but you can see the guys making plays and I thought last week, their quarterback [Cade Klubnik] played really well in their loss to Miami, I thought he looked comfortable. He had good poise in the pocket, he used his legs when he needed to, some good throws on the run... threw the deep ball with touch. And so you can see that he's improving you know, and obviously, they had a bye week a couple of weeks ago."
"Defensively, very talented, good defensive line - always aggressive in what they do, and the scheme has changed a little bit but you know, they're still multiple in their fronts and coverages. A lot of man-to-man and the defensive line, you know, has a lot of depth and good players on it. So excited, you know, to get back to work and go get ready for a great opponent here at home. "
Clemson and N.C. State kickoff on Saturday at 2 p.m. on the CW.
