Colorado's Sy'veon Wilkerson shuts down trolls who said he followed the hype for "garbage time"

In this story:
Sy'veon Wilkerson wasn't going to deal with any nonsense from the naysayers. The Colorado Buffaloes running back got to see the field late in the 28-16 loss to UCLA at the Rose Bowl on Saturday night. A move that wasn't unusual but sparked opinions from a few keyboard warriors.
One of them tweeted at Wilkerson and said he got caught up in the hype and followed Deion Sanders from Jackson State to CU for "garbage time minutes." It didn't end there with Wilkerson dropping knowledge on the entire crowd.
Yall be on hea saying anything. Nobody followed no hype Playing power 5 been my dream for a long time! I transferred from hbcu schools because I proved that with my talent I deserve to be at power 5 when none of these coaches wanted to recruit me in hs. https://t.co/Ie3Je9XOHU

"Y'all be on here saying anything," Wilkerson tweeted. "Nobody followed no hype Playing power 5 been my dream for a long time! I transferred from HBCU schools because I proved that with my talent I deserve to be at Power 5 when none of these coaches wanted to recruit me in HS."
Wilkerson got off another shot with some icing on the cake.

The Buffaloes rusher has been in the rotation for most of the year. Wilkerson isn't the featured back, but he's contributing to an offensive attack without many touches out of the backfield. It's a different attack for Shedeur Sanders and the offense, which the casual fans won't understand.
Wilkerson and the Buffs return home to face No. 16 Oregon State next Saturday at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.
