Travis Hunter takes issue with CU parking enforcement: "I'm tired of paying"

In this story:

The 'Prime Effect' needs to hit CU's parking enforcement. Several Colorado Buffaloes football players have complained about issues parking around Folsom Field with limited solutions.

While this isn't a new problem and has been ongoing the greater part of a decade, there needs to be changes. Even Deion Sanders himself has been ticketed for parking outside the Champion Center. Buffs two-way star Travis Hunter is the latest to turn the spotlight on CU's lack of resources when it comes to parking.

In a video posted by Well Off Media, Hunter said he has been ticketed multiple times for parking around the stadium. Deion Sanders Jr., who was on the other side of the camera, talked about going in on a Sunday for 30 minutes and being ticketed. It's egregious knowing most metropolitan areas don't charge for parking on Sundays. Hunter openly asked for a permit from CU and it's ridiculous that he doesn't have one already.

Many players have complained about the enforcement, including Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig who has paid thousands of dollars in parking tickets. BuffsBeat was told about several incidents over the summer with cars being booted and towed around the facility.

The record amount of revenue  being handed over to the City of Boulder from CU Football should allow for some changes. It's unprecedented on many levels, but there should also be an understanding that players and staff have to be there. We'll see if that happens in the coming years.

Colorado hosts 16th-ranked Oregon State on Saturday. A 10 p.m. kickoff from Folsom Field with coverage on ESPN.
