Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has signed an NIL deal with Smoothie King. He's the first major college athlete to sign with the beverage giant this year. Sanders will be a spokesman for the Dallas-based franchise, which is tied to the NFL and NBA.

Smoothie King will offer “The Shedeur” Smoothie – Sanders' new signature smoothie – at all locations nationwide starting Nov. 21. The shake-up features an Angel Food smoothie base with blueberries and multivitamin added on.

“I’ve always wanted to partner with Smoothie King, and now we’re making it happen,” says Sanders. “Training is all about building a good foundation and making sure you’re putting the best things in your body to get optimum performance. Smoothie King has always been a part of my training routine. It’s easy, tastes great, and helps me stay fueled between class and practice."

The Buffs quarterback adds to this list of NIL deals that includes Brady Brands, Beats by Dre, Nike, Mercedes-Benz, and Gatorade. He's listed as the No. 2 college athlete on On3's NIL 100 list with a valuation of $3.8 million. The only one above him is USC's Bronny James.

Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach, Deion Sanders, followed his fathers and brothers to Boulder and has turned in a career year for the Buffs. The Davey O' Brien Award semifinalist is currently tenth in FBS with 3,230 passing yards with 27 TDs and three INTs. In fact, he leads the nation with most completions (298) and attempts (430). He's also one of two QBs with 400+ attempts in the top 10. He's easily the most accurate passer in college football.

The Jackson State transfer also etched his name in CU's record book as the single-season passing leader last week. He'll need a touchdown in the finale against Utah to set the school's all-time mark as well.

Sanders will continue getting attention even with the 2023 season coming to a close. It seems like he already has the business sense down with some good mentors like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Geno Smith, Russell Wilson, and others.
