With Mark Davis firing Josh McDaniels in a stunning overnight move, the Las Vegas Raiders look to rejuvenate the face of their franchise. Many have speculated as to which direction they'll go in search of a new head coach, but a CBS analyst believes there's one name that should be a target.

I'll throw a name out there, ready? Prime Time," Pete Prisco said on CBS Sports HQ. "How about Deion Sanders? He could be an NFL head coach. It's not that complicated. It's football. It really isn't. Yes, manage men. Manage your staff. Allow your coaches to coach and be good in game situations. That's a problem for a lot of coaches in this league."

Sanders has said countless times he wants no part of the NFL. He talked earlier this season about how he enjoys being a mentor to his players and they're "impressionable" for learning the game of football. Also, it's not about chasing money for Coach Prime.

Prisco, like others, sees the 'Prime Effect' as being a monumental force and believes that it should move up into the NFL. The only problem is that the logic is flawed. Sanders is creating buzz for the sport at the right level, and it would diminish if he ever took a coaching job in the league. It would be nice to see Prime do his thing in Vegas, but his talents go deeper than trying to catch the attention of "made men" on Sundays.

The Raiders fired McDaniels after inking a deal worth roughly $60 million. That means he'll receive a series of paydays over the next five years unless Davis wants to break out the checkbook with a lump sum. Former NFL linebacker Antonio Pierce takes over interim duties for the Raiders. The SoCal native looks to make an impact for the Sliver and Black midway through the season.

"The short story and the matter of fact is I grew up in Compton, California. I was born a Raider," Pierce said in a press conference. "I was born with the Raiders rolling in the Coliseum in L.A. I was rolling with N.W.A. talking Straight Out of Compton, rocking Raider hats. So, when an opportunity came to work with Josh (McDaniels), (defensive coordinator) Pat Graham and Dave (Ziegler), I jumped on it. So, that's what set me up for this. I was born this way."

Pierce's Raiders debut comes against his former team, the NY Giants, on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium.
