In this story:

Colorado got a scoring spark from a rare source in the season finale.

Buffaloes receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. used his arm after a backward pass from QB Ryan Staub and found Dylan Edwards in the middle of the field on a 30-yard touchdown pass. A great misdirection for CU first points of the day, which pulled the Buffs within a score with 8:17 to go until halftime.

Coach Prime and the Buffs are without their leader Shedeur Sanders, who was ruled out prior to the game. Not surprising considering the star QB was held out of practice for the week.

Utah jumped out to a 10-0 lead over CU before the TD strike. They added a field goal with under two minutes to go before intermission for a 13-7 lead. Staub has looked good in the first half by completing 9-of-13 passes for 99 yards. Colorado added a 47-yard field goal from Alejandro Mata before the half.

Horn adds to his impressive NFL ready resume with the TD pass. The twelfth touchdown the USF transfer has accounted for in his career.
