Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter returned to practice this week. It was the first sighting of HIM going through drills since suffering a lacerated liver against Colorado State on Sept. 16.

A video posted by Well Off Media shows Hunter going at it with Shedeur Sanders and was mostly all smiles the entire time. He looked ready to go and was missed during a crucial stretch for the Buffaloes with back-to-back losses.

Deion Sanders said a few weeks ago that Hunter would likely be out until the Buffs’ bye week, which comes after this Friday's game vs. Stanford. It's not going to matter a whole lot if the former five-star does end up playing this week or spends another game coaching on the sidelines. Hunter is itching to return, and even sent Coach Prime a text going into the USC game that he wanted back in the lineup, but Colorado also needs him 100 percent healthy.

The Buffaloes will exit the bye week with likely their final Rose Bowl trip to face UCLA in three weeks. It's the second part of the schedule and a make-or-break bowl scenario for CU. If they can beat the Cardinal, it'll leaves the final five games open for a sixth win, which hasn't happened in the past seven years.

Colorado hosts Stanford at Folsom Field for a Friday the 13th special at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.
