The Buffaloes Won't Talk Back to Nebraska

No trash talk around here, even against the Cornhuskers

Nebraska's JoJo Domann visited Colorado during his recruitment, and seems glad that's as far as he took it with CU. 

"Thank God I came here," he told Huskers247.com. 

As trash talk goes, that's fairly mild. But nose guard Darrion Daniels picked up the slack, telling reporters, "My teammates got some beef with them. I got some beef with them," adding that Nebraska was the better team last year and is prepared to "go and kick some ass."

So it's Nebraska week. A week for loathing and scorn and firing barbs back and forth. 

Except you're not going to see much in the way of barbs from Colorado. Coach Mel Tucker doesn't like trash talk, and so the poor Buffaloes are just going to have to take it silently until Saturday. 

This is a difficult position to be in. It feels so unfair to have someone out there going after you while you have to silently stew. 

But not only is it the wise move, it's actually the logical one. 

And that's because ... Colorado beat Nebraska last year. When you win, you don't have to say much. 

The whole thing is an ironic reversal from tradition, with Colorado entering as the superior team and classier organization, while Nebraska fires shots through the media and tries to get its program on track.
