Five-star QB Julian Lewis visits Deion Sanders and Colorado, says he'll have the "opportunity to play early"

Julian Lewis made a second visit to Colorado last week. The five-star QB met with Deion Sanders and Pat Shurmur to discuss his future and how he could be a "day one" starter for the Buffaloes.
The Carrollton (GA) passer committed to USC early but is currently weighing his options with most of the major programs offering for his services. Lewis seems to be impressed with what's going on in Boulder and would step into the role held down by Shedeur Sanders, who will be entering the 2025 NFL Draft.
"Colorado has a lot of energy," Lewis told 247Sports. "Coach Prime is super positive and motivating. Talking to Coach Shurmur and Shedeur (Sanders), they want me to make the best decision for me, but made it clear that I have the opportunity to play early."
Lewis elected to forgo his senior season after reclassifying as part of the 2025 class. He's leaps and bounds ahead of the competition, posting a 25-3 record in two seasons playing in Georgia's AAAAAAA class. The finalist for the Gatorade National Player of the Year award this year led his team to the state quarterfinals. He completed 186-of-280 passes (66.4%) for 3,094 yards with 48 TDs and 2 INTs.
The rare intangibles make Lewis one of the nation's top passers. He would truly take his game to the next level if he was paired with Sanders and Shurmur. They can offer an NFL perspective with knowledge that would push his football I.Q. further than a majority of programs could ever dream of doing. He's built for the spread attack that wants to push the pace and constantly challenge defenses.
