Nick Saban draws similarities between Colorado and Alabama

In this story:
Nick Saban is a master of coaching techniques and philosophy. It's one of the reasons why he's considered the best in college football history.
The longtime Alabama coach discussed Colorado's epic meltdown last week against Stanford and how a loss like that can happen to good coach like Deion Sanders. He uses the moment as an example for his own team during an interview on Thursday on ESPN's Pat McAfee Show.
“I think the Colorado game was a great example of a little bit what happened to us last week,” Saban said. “Get ahead 29-0 in a game. Guys lose their mental intensity, their focus, and the game starts to change. The momentum swings, and you can’t get it back, so you have to learn how to sustain and grind through it and continue to impose your will so you never lose that.”
Alabama defeated Arkansas, but the 24-21 victory didn't come easy. Like the Buffs, the Crimson Tide went up big early in the game and let their foot off the gas.
Saban went on to say he has yet to talk to Sanders since Friday's game but is always rooting for him. The two coaches share a special bond as spokesmen for Aflac. They periodically meet to shoot commercials for the insurance company. Sanders has also leaned on Saban for advice during the course of his young coaching career.
Colorado has a bye week before heading to Pasadena for a meeting with No. 25 UCLA at the Rose Bowl on Oct. 28.
